As a continuation of the recently renovated main lobby, the servery and dining area at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland was designed to seamless integrate with the other public spaces. The soft curves within the servery are intended to draw visitors gradually through the space, with a focus on the expanse of windows beyond in the dining area. Interest was added to the large, open seating area by providing a circular anchor in the ceiling and floor, in addition to various planters and high-back banquette seating, to organically divide the space.
